A6 Perfect Bound Books
Our A6 perfect bound books are compact, concise and cost effective. Often used to give a brief introduction to a company / product or as timetable booklets, they also make ideal price lists as the slim size gives them a stylish and professional look.
A6 perfect bound book printing options
Unlike saddle stitched or stapled books, with perfect binding the gathered pages of your brochure or notebook are bound to a wrap-around spine using a strong but flexible adhesive which, when dry, leaves them secure.
A6 perfect bound brochures and books are printed on 130gsm silk paper as standard (for the pages) and with a heavier cover of 300gsm silk, for a more luxurious look and feel. However, we also offer different paper weights to suit your desired design – please see the specifications tab for more details. Our standard A6 brochures measure 105mm by 148mm ( printed in landscape or portrait orientation), but we also offer A5, A6, DL and Square brochures.
If you want to create a more eye-catching design for your perfect bound booklets, take a look at our lamination, embossing, spot UV or foiling finishing options.

FAQs
What is perfect binding?
Perfect binding is a method of bookbinding, where the pages are simply placed in a vertical stack and glued to the spine of your booklet using flexible glue. The outer edges of your booklet are then simultaneously trimmed to create a ‘perfect’ clean edge.
What are the advantages of perfect binding?
The perfect binding method offers greater flexibility and creative freedom at a relatively affordable price. Your book can have an even or odd number of pages, and each page can use a different paper stock or colour.
Presentation-wise, perfect bound books also offer identical page size and presentation, with no need to adjust your design for trim creep.
Perfect bound books also offer a spine which can be printed on – so in a stack or shelf of books, yours can still stand out!
How many pages can my perfect bound books have?
You can view our page count options in the table below. Each paper sheet (or ‘leaf’) of your book will have two printed pages (pp); one on each side of the paper.
If you’re still unsure about page counts, or you need a different number of pages to the options here, call us on 023 8087 8037 to discuss your requirements.
What sizes are available?
Perfect bound books are available in the following standard sizes. Please note that these measurements refer to the size of the brochure when closed:
- A4 (210mm by 297mm)
- A5 (148mm by 210mm)
- A6 (105mm by 148mm)
- DL (99mm by 210mm)
- Square (205mm by 205mm)

What materials are these products printed on?
Please see the Specification tab for more information on this product’s standard material specification. Alternative stocks and grades can be supplied for most products to help you customise your order – simply get in touch to discuss your print requirements.
Will my perfect bound books be printed via litho printing or digital printing methods?
The right print method will depend on a number of factors; including the product type, quantity and turnaround time you require.
Better Printing can produce your order on either litho or digital, with both available in-house. Our sales team can recommend the most cost-effective solution for your needs and will confirm your preferred method before going to print.
How do I select portrait or landscape?
All brochures and booklets are produced in portrait orientation (with the spine located on the longer edge of the booklet) by default. Alternatively, you can specify landscape orientation for your brochures if needed at the checkout stage.
What imposition or page order format should I use for my artwork?
We recommend supplying artwork as single pages in the same order as you want them to appear in the finished brochure. Please avoid supplying your artwork in printer’s pairs or double page spreads, as this may extend production times of your print order.
