How big are these stickers?
We offer sizes in standard “A” sizes from A5 to A0, and also custom sizes for any size that is not of the traditional A size nature for example something short and wide.
What’s the maximum size available for floor graphics?
A single floor decal can be printed to a maximum length of 25 metres. However, you can also choose to split a single piece of artwork across multiple floor decals – these can then be arranged next to each other on your floor space to create any size of graphic you desire. Simply call us for more information.
SteadyGrip, CombiGrip, MultiGrip and ProGrip floor graphics, what are the main differences?
Each floor graphic type is optimised for slightly different applications, see our specification tab for an explanation of each type, plus a table listing the technical differences. If you’re not sure which type is right for your requirements, our friendly sales team are here to help – just give us a call on 023 8087 8037 today!
Can floor graphics be placed on stairs and ramps?
Yes. To prevent creasing and damaging your floor graphics when placing them across stairs, Better Printing can supply your graphics as individual strips to be applied to each stair tread and riser. Simply get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.
How long will a typical floor graphic sticker last?
Each floor graphic is designed to last up to 3 years for indoor use. For outdoor use MultiGrip will last up to a month and ProGrip longer, although the manufacturer gives no specific guarantee, the exact lifespan of your floor stickers may vary depending on various external factors, including foot traffic and environmental conditions.
What are R-value anti-slip ratings?
All anti-slip floor coverings are assigned an R-value anti-slip rating from R9 to R13; this rating indicates the likelihood of slipping on the surface, and the most suitable environments for those floor coverings.
R9 and R10 floor coverings offer standard anti-slip properties in always-dry locations, while R11 and R12 are suitable for floors which may sometimes be wet such as cafeterias and toilet facilities.
R13 provides the most grip and is suitable for places that are often wet such as outdoor areas and changing/shower rooms.
How do I apply vinyl graphics to my floor surface?
Each floor graphic sticker comes with a self-adhesive backing. Simply peel off the backing and press the sticker down on the floor surface to apply.
(For best results, make sure the floor is clean and dry before applying, and use a squeegee tool to apply the sticker smoothly and evenly.)
Is it safe to clean my floor graphics?
Yes! Once your stickers are attached, they can be cleaned with a typical household vacuum cleaner and/or warm soapy water along with the rest of the floor surface.
Be sure to wait at least a day before cleaning your floors; this will ensure the sticker adhesive has enough time to firmly set.
Can floor graphics be removed after use?
Yes! Most floor graphics can be removed by hand; start at one of the corners and slowly peel the sticker away to remove it. Any remaining sticker residue can be cleared away with typical household floor cleaning products.
Some graphics designed for longer-term use will naturally be more difficult to remove. If you’re having trouble, try applying heat using a hair dryer.
How are floor graphics printed?
Each floor graphic decal is printed in-house using digital large format printing technology.
Are floor graphics protected from sun fading?
Yes; each SteadyGrip sticker is printed with UV-safe inks, so they’ll resist fading in sunlit floor areas.
