Mesh Banner Printing

Mesh banner printing is built for exposed sites where wind, weather and scale matter. Ideal for scaffolding, fencing and large-format site branding, these banners allow air to pass through while keeping graphics clear and readable. Commonly used as Heras fencing banners, scaffolding mesh banners and outdoor mesh banners, they provide dependable visibility without putting strain on fixings. Printed to order, they suit short-term projects and longer installations alike—see what’s possible with banner printing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mesh banners let wind pass through the fabric, making them the safer choice for windy outdoor sites. This FAQ covers materials, applications, print quality and installation.

A mesh banner is a perforated PVC banner with thousands of small holes across its surface, allowing wind to pass through. They're used for outdoor signage in exposed locations where solid PVC banners would catch the wind.
Mesh banners are used for building wraps, scaffold covers, sports stadium hoardings, fence wraps, construction sites, festivals and any large-format outdoor display in exposed conditions where wind load is a concern.
Mesh banners are the better choice for windy locations because they don't act as a sail. PVC banners are best for short, low-wind installations where image clarity matters most. Use mesh for any banner mounted on a fence, scaffold, building or open structure.

Mesh banner material is woven or knitted PVC-coated polyester. The weave creates open holes between threads, with around 70% solid surface and 30% perforation as a typical balance between wind permeability and print clarity.
Modern mesh banners produce vibrant, full-colour graphics that look almost as sharp as PVC from viewing distances of 3m or more. Up close, the perforations are visible, so mesh is best suited to banners viewed from a distance.
Standard outdoor mesh has around 30–35% perforation, balancing wind release with print sharpness. Higher-perforation mesh (45%+) is used in extremely windy locations like high-rise scaffolding.

Mesh banners are produced in fully bespoke sizes, from small 2×1m promotional banners to large building wraps spanning 30m+. Sizes are normally limited only by the size of the press and the structure they'll be fixed to.
Yes, mesh banners can be printed on both sides, though the perforations mean some mirroring will occur. For full opaque double-sided printing, block-out PVC banners are a better choice.

Mesh banners are usually installed using brass eyelets along the hem with cable ties, bungee cords or rope, securing them to fences, scaffolding, hoarding boards or building facades. Tensioned installations look smartest.
Yes, that's the main reason they exist. The perforated fabric significantly reduces wind load compared to solid PVC, making them suitable for tall scaffold installations, exposed fences and stadium signage where solid banners pose a safety risk.

Mesh banners typically last 1–3 years outdoors depending on exposure, sun and wind. UV-resistant inks keep colours bright; the polyester core resists rot and tearing in all weathers.
Mesh banners are usually similar in price to standard PVC banners, sometimes slightly more due to the specialist material. Bulk pricing applies for multiple banners or large total square metres.
