Our custom A5 folders are printed on 350gsm silk paper as standard, however we also offer a wide collection of alternative materials to best suit your design and usage. Opt for Uncoated or Premium Uncoated paper (easiest to write on), Gloss paper (for an aesthetic sheen) or Recycled or Kraft papers (for a truly eco-friendly folder).
Opt for your design printed in CMYK, black and white or Pantone. Pantone will provide a colour match to your existing branding.
For extra durability and finish, you can choose to add one of our laminations to your folder- either on one side or both sides. Choose from Matt, Gloss, Silk or Soft Touch lamination (the latter providing a decadent, velvety feel).
For truly eye-catching custom folders, why not opt for one of our attention-grabbing finishing options? Choose Spot UV or foiling (choose from 10 colours to best match your aesthetic) to highlight your company name, logo or contact information. FAQs
What’s the difference between interlocking and glued?
This refers to the way pockets are secured to the folders.
Glued have a strip of tape on a flap that is then folded and stuck to the back page to make the pocket.
Interlocking has a slotted mechanism that requires no tape to form the pocket.
Glued is a more secure finish but has a longer production time and higher cost due to the extra process.
Can I have a brochure stitched into the folder?
Can I have more than one pocket in my folder?
Yes, we can add a 2nd pocket to the inside front cover – call us for a price.
Can I have a vertical pocket instead of horizontal?

Can you print the sheets I want to insert into the folder?
Yes – we can create leaflets, flyers, letterheads and much more.
What is pantone?
When printing from a 4 colour process it’s possible for colours to vary slightly between print runs. A pantone colour (also referred to as a spot colour) is a specially mixed ink, that will perfectly match your existing colour. This may be important for your company logo for instance.

What’s the benefit of adding lamination?
Lamination will add strength to the folder and will prevent cracking on the folded areas (spine and pocket). If you have a solid colour on your folder then lamination is essential.
What does capacity and non-capacity mean?
How do I layout my artwork on the template?Â
As you look at the template, the right hand panel will be the front cover of the folder and the left hand panel which has the pocket beneath will be the back cover – the cover folds up and sticks to the inside of the back page.
If you’re folder will be double sided you’ll need to flip the template over so that the pocket is now below the right hand panel. This will be the inside of the back page and the left hand panel will be the inside of the front cover.
